Position Concept:
Lead a forward-looking technology group, ensuring the company's infrastructure supports the needs of employees and customers today and is appropriately designed for future growth. The Director of IT Infrastructure is responsible for telecommunications, networks, systems, desktops, and client support within the company. Ensure all clients' technology needs are met and that all desktop and network systems are reliable, serviceable, and available. Provide technical consultation and support to other members of the department and to peers within the company. Stay up to date on emerging technologies, plan and implement creative technical support solutions, and ensure appropriate levels of technology exist within the Unitil businesses.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; experience with strategic technology planning and execution; 7+ years managing IT infrastructure service organizations; demonstrated experience and current knowledge of virtualized environments, systems, LAN, WAN, VOIP, and security design; and strong working knowledge of VMWare, Cisco technologies, Siemens VOIP, security, privacy, and various Microsoft technologies. Must have experience with "consensus building" and working with motivated peer groups to solve technology problems.
