Hampton, NH (January 3, 2002) – Unitil Corporation (AMEX:UTL), announced today that it’s subsidiary Usource L.L.C. has begun to provide energy brokerage services to the nearly 200 OnDemand and ValuSource customers of DQE Enterprises in Pennsylvania under an agreement with DQE. Under that agreement, DQE has transferred its OnDemand customers to Usource and will cease to provide its own retail energy brokerage services, focussing instead on its core business. Usource provides Internet-based energy brokerage services to customers throughout the Northeast and has been active in Pennsylvania retail markets for almost two years.
