Unitil Shareholders Re-Elect Directors

Hampton, NH (April 19, 2007): Unitil Corporation (AMEX:UTL) held its Annual Meeting of Shareholders today at the corporate office in Hampton, New Hampshire. Shareholders re-elected Michael J. Dalton, Edward F. Godfrey and Eben S. Moulton to the Board of Directors for three-year terms.

"In 2006 we achieved two key rate case settlements, initiated a major investment in an award-winning Advanced Metering project and grew our Usource business, expanding its forward book of revenues to $6 million. Our long term goal continues to be earnings growth in the range of 3-5% per year," said Robert G. Schoenberger, Unitil's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

In his presentation at the meeting, Mr. Schoenberger reviewed Unitil's 2006 financial and operational performance. The presentation also highlighted the Company's ongoing business strategies including its regulatory initiatives, investments in distribution assets and technology, growth of its Usource business and the pursuit of additional growth opportunities building on core competencies.
