Start Service
On the MyUnitil landing page, scroll down to the "Are you a new customer?" section and select the appropriate form. For existing properties, fill out the "Application for New Service." For new construction properties, fill out the "Contractor Request Form."
Transfer/Move or Stop Service
Log in to your MyUnitil account. From the "Account Services" tab found on the left-hand side navigation, you can transfer or disconnect your service.

Log in to your MyUnitil account.
From the "Account Services" tab found on the left-hand side navigation, you can set up and manage Uni-Pay, which is Unitil's automatic payment service.

We offer a free, secure and reliable electronic bill delivery and payment service.
To enroll, log in or create your MyUnitil account. Navigate to the "Profile" tab on the left, then select "Notifications" at the top of the page. Select an account number, email, phone number, and text number under the "Communication Preference" section. Under the "Notification Subscription" section, toggle to Yes for receiving email, and/or SMS/Text for "Your Monthly Bill." Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Update Communication and Notification Preferences" button to save your selections.
After the next billing cycle following your enrollment, you will receive an electronic bill instead of a paper version at the email address associated with your account.

First, log in to your online profile.
From the "Profile" tab found on the left-hand side, select the "Accounts List" tab located at the top of the page.
To link additional accounts, add the account number and verification method.
Select "Add Account."

There are several options to make your MyUnitil account more secure:
- Update your password to be longer and more complex.
- Update your security question to something that’s unique and hard to guess.
- Implement Two-Factor Authentication for an additional layer of protection.
Change Password
From the "Profile" tab found on the left-hand navigation, select "My Profile" located at the top of the page.
Scroll down to Change Password. Enter then confirm your new password. A good password is at least 12 characters, incorporates upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters, and is not predictable.
You will be required to enter your old password in order to proceed with the change. Select “Update My Profile.”
Update Security Question
From the "Profile" tab found on the left-hand navigation, select "My Profile" located at the top of the page.
Scroll down to Security Question. Use the dropdown to select a pre-populated question or create your own. Input the answer in the “Security Answer” field. Select “Update My Profile.”
Implement Two-Factor Authentication
From the "Profile" tab found on the left-hand navigation, select "My Profile" located at the top of the page.
Scroll down to Enhanced Security. Select “Two-Factor Authentication.” Enter your email address in the “Authentication Via” field. Select “Update My Profile.”

If you’re unsure of your username or password, utilize the Forgot Password and Forgot User Name links on the MyUnitil landing page.
The Forgot User Name option utilizes your account number and a verification method to find the associated username.
The Forgot Password option sends a password reset email to the email address associated with your profile. Note that you must provide the email address that is associated with your profile in order for the system to send the password reset email.
If you’ve tried both “Forgot Your User Name” and “Forgot Your Password” links and are still unable to access your profile, there may have been an issue with it migrating to the new MyUnitil. This is rare but can happen when multiple profiles or email addresses are associated with an account or when an email address associated with a profile is invalid. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
You can quickly and easily create a new profile by visiting myaccount.unitil.com. Note that you will need your account number to sign up.

To access your MyUnitil account, log in at myaccount.unitil.com.
You may use your existing username if you previously had a MyUnitil profile, and will be asked to reset your password if you don’t remember it. Account information and preferences have carried over to the new MyUnitil interface.
If you're a new user, you'll be asked to provide some basic information, including your new Unitil account number, the last four digits of your social security number or Tax ID, and to define a username and a password for your new profile. If you have not yet set up service, you will need to do so first in order to receive your Unitil account number. Then, you may set up your online profile so you can manage your account on the web.
